Have you ever had thoughts of swapping places with unfortunate people ?

I'm not rich or even wealthy, but I often think myself very lucky to be born in a country where people aren't in conflict and where sickness, poverty isn't rampant.

Often I find myself wanting to trade places with some poor unfortunate person so they can experience a nice hot meal in comfort and indulge in things most people take for granted.

Would you trade places with someone who is in a world of hurt, even for a little while just so you can share the quality of life you lucked out on ?

Update:

And how long would you trade places ?

Words of sarcasm or banter? If so, then what makes you better than the persons acting barbarically and what's the purpose of this post? Jesus was asked what would be the sign of the foretold conclusion of the system of things. Matthew 24:6 "You are going to hear of wars and reports of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for these things must take place, but the end is not yet. “For nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be food shortages and earthquakes in one place after another.  All these things are a beginning of pangs of distress." Also, 2 Timothy 3:1-5 speaks of "the last days critical times hard to deal with"... Those words written thousands of years ago but are certainly true for the world today. Satan the devil is very busy keeping people on his side using confusion and pride. (1 Peter 5:8)(Revelation 12:9,12 - 'woe to the earth') Those on satan's side would not fully understand this scripture: "I am giving you a new commandment, that you love one another; just as I have loved you, you also love one another. By this all will know that you are my disciples—if you have love among yourselves.” Notice there is no distinction between peoples. James 3:17: "But the wisdom from above is first of all pure, then peaceable, reasonable, ready to obey, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial, not hypocritical." Jesus felt pity for the "people" - Matthew 9:36.

God said he will bring an end to those ruining the earth. (Revelation 11:18) Does that include subtle acts and barbaric acts? God promised that the righteous would inherit the earth and he never lies. So wouldn't that mean that the unrighteous will be gone? (Psalms 37:9-11, 29) We all face life or death. (Matthew 7:13; Deuteronomy 30:19)
