What the heck is this bump on my vagina?!?

So I was on my period last week and noticed a small, hard bump on the outside of my labia. It looked almost like a pimple. It was there for around two days, and wasn't painful unless you touched it or played with it. On the third day, it popped by itself and some white goo came out. No weird discharge or anything. It just confused me because I had never had anything like that before, and I was wondering if you can get cysts or pimples there. (I'm 13.)

I've had that before. It is normal to get pimples down there once in a while. However, I would recommend talking to a doctor if these pimples persist, or if they begin multiplying and don't go away after more than a few days. This can signal something a little more serious--not cancer or anything, but possibly something like genital warts (gross, I know) or a skin condition. Both of these are easily treatable and nothing to be concerned about, but you should talk to a doctor if the pimples keep coming and don't go away.

Yes you can get cysts and or "pimples" there It is skin isn't it/ Sounds like you had a small boil. Here are some tips to avoid this in the future. do not use colored toilet paper, only wear panties made of natural materials like cotton and not synthetics like nylon, rayon, or any of the fakeons. cut back on tight jean and panty hose. All of these promote sweating and risks of skin irritation and reactions. Keep it clean and dry down there and if you do use powder NO TALC get the kind with cornstarch easily found in the baby stuff aisle at the supermart.

You had a pimple, and it popped! Sure, you can get cysts or pimples "down there".

And BTW: You didn't have a bump on your vagina. Your vagina is INSIDE your body - you couldn't have a bump "on" it. You had a bump on your labia (your genital area).

If you shave...or hair is growing in there and panties rub against it causing friction, it is most likely an ingrown hair. I get them from time to time. Sometimes they do this. I am willing to bet that is what it is.

Sounds like you just had a big pimple. You can get them any where on your body.

not to worry. Next time send me a picture of it.....I will check it out for you.

Be careful when you wipe don't wipe hard. I have two daughters I seen that on my oldest for wiping hard. I have to wipe for her everyday she uses the bathroom.
