"...For let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, and took upon Himself the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men. And being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Therefore God has highly exalted Him, and has given Him a name which is above every name,..."

Your 'left hand' is the material administrator. Your 'right hand' is the administrator of persons.
The 'left hand' is accountable to the governing authorities. The 'right hand' is what the U.S. founders called 'inalienable.' It is not accessible to material powers and authorities. It is the location of our 'natural liberty,' (2 Corinthians 3:17). What we are doing materially is measurable. How we choose to interpret what we are doing is not, unless we reveal our standards. In other words, 'why' we do what we do is always 'secret' unless we choose to reveal it. Jesus is commanding us never to reveal it. Let God reveal why we did it later. His is the knowledge in our right hand which remains undisclosed to our left hand.
Jesus tells us that we cannot serve both God and mammon, (Matthew 6:24). Yet he tells us to use mammon to 'make friends' who then represent a permanent safety net against poverty, (Luke 16:9). We do not serve mammon. It serves us. By all Biblical descriptions, 'mammon' is the abundance produced by any commerce other than what produces basic necessities for others. It is easily identified by its use of debts. Jesus once sent His followers out on an inspired treasure hunt to peacefully resolve pressures being placed upon them by the ultimate 'debt producer' ---government and its taxation. He declares all of 'the sons' exempt from taxation, so He refused to pay the debt out of righteous commerce. He liberated His 'friends' by helping them find a lost valuable coin, essentially paying back Caesar with his own neglected mammon instead, (Matthew 17:24-27).
Christians do not love money. We love using it to liberate people from oppression. We also love demonstrating how to make it while producing and distributing necessities for others. We do this by keeping both activities 'secret' from the oppressors, even while we comply with their material requirements upon their request.
A wise man's heart is always focused upon people, not material. That is why only the fool's heart remains at his left hand. It is he who loves only the money because he fails to see its great power to liberate, and to produce an abundance of relief and welcomed daily provision for others.

Oh oh! Don't let your right hand let your left hand know what it has done! Got it. Funny, I was just reading something similar in Acts today. It was referencing Faith vs. Works. From what I discerned in Why works doesn't elect us automatic passage into Heaven or Righteousness with God. God's reason for this is quite obvious to a devout Christian. If God didn't only and specifically require Faith ONLY then everyone would be only doing the WORKS that are expected from mankind to be right with God. Hence, while God chose Faith as a righteous life, DO NOT THINK FOR ONE SECOND that when God calls on you for work efforts you'd best not ignore... God says in Proverbs, When man obeys and has faith in me, I will cause mankind to WANT to do my works.

Our hands usually work together. Therefore, not letting the left hand know what the right is doing means that we do not advertise our charitable deeds, even to those as close to us as our left hand is to our right hand.
If we do not boast about our charity, our “gifts of mercy” will be in secret. Then our Father, “who is looking on in secret,” will repay us. Residing in the heavens and invisible to human eyes, our heavenly Father remains “in secret” as far as mankind is concerned. (John 1:18) Repayment from the one “looking on in secret” includes Jehovah’s bringing us into an intimate relationship with him, forgiving our sins, and granting us eternal life. (Prov. 3:32; John 17:3; Eph. 1:7) That is so much better than receiving praise from humans!

Concerning the Mind of Christ, and being made in the form of God, what is it that separates left from the right? What keeps both in balance?
It is He who upholds ALL THINGS by the word of His Power.
Hebrews 1:3
“… who being the brightness of His GLORY and the express IMAGE of His person, and UPHOLDING ALL THINGS by the word of His POWER, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on High.”
Yahushua is the POWER and GLORY and WISDOM of Elohim.
Of Wisdom, Solomon wrote....
Proverbs 3:16
Long life is in her right hand; In her left hand are riches and honor.
Why is it so important to NOT let your left "KNOW" what your right is doing, when doing "good"?
So we do not become boastful or prideful in ourselves. Our boast should only be in our heavenly Father YHWH and in His Son, to whom we set our eyes on as our example.
Jeremiah 9:24
But let him who boasts boast of this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am YHWH who exercises lovingkindness, justice and righteousness on earth; for I delight in these things,” declares YHWH.
Psalm 34:2
My soul shall make its boast in YHWH; The humble shall hear of it and be glad.
2 Corinthians 10:17
But, "Let the one who boasts boast in the Master."
Ephesians 2:8-10
For by grace you are saved through faith, and this not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not as a result of works, so that no one may boast. 10 For we are HIS workmanship, having been created in Messiah Yahushua for good works which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.
We are His workmanship. The good works we do are the result of Him working in us. He gets the glory.
Philippians 2:13
For it is God who is working in you both to desire and to work for His good pleasure.
When we have the mind of Messiah, we are of the same mind as He.
Philippians 2:2-5
...by being of the same mind, having the same love, one in being and of purpose, 3 doing none at all through selfishness or self-conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. 4 Each one should look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others. 5 For, let THIS mind be in you which was also in Messiah Yahushua...
To have the mind of Messiah is to humble ourselves... and become obedient... as He did.
Philippians 2:6-8
… who, being in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a matter to be grasped, 7 but emptied Himself, taking the form of a servant, and came to be in the likeness of men. 8 And having been found in fashion as a man, He HUMBLED Himself and became OBEDIENT unto death, death even of a cross.
John 14:23
Yahushua answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he shall keep (obey) My Word. And My Father shall love him, and We shall come to him and make Our home with him.
The Creator of the Universe has chosen to make His home with us. That is POWERFUL. And it is that power that can separate the right from the left, the good from the evil. It is that power that forgives us of our sins and cleanses us from all unrighteousness.
Having the mind of Messiah is to be of one mind with Him. It's not balancing good with evil. It is purging evil out completely.
When the Messiah returns in His glory, He will separate the tares form the wheat, the sheep from the goats, and that "perfect separation" of good and evil will forever be restored.
Matthew 25:31-34
When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. 32 All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats. 33 And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left. 34 Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.
In the new heavens and the new earth, there will be no more knowledge of evil, for the former things will pass away and there will be no more remembrance of them. In the new heavens and new earth, only righteousness and goodness will dwell. For eternity.
Isaiah 65:17
For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth; and the former things shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.
Isaiah 41:10
Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will UPHOLD you with My righteous right hand.
