Stupid question about alcohol.?

I'm what you call a social drinker, i only drink during really rare occasions and even then not much but i was wondering how long time would need to pass before i could drive again after consuming one standard beer?

Just wondering because i'm going to a party tomorrow and i might not need to drive until as long as 7 hours later.

Not that i am gonna drink but i'd like to see if i could enjoy one early on.

It depends on you sex and weight. If you drink a single beer you should be fine to drive an hour later.

A simple rule would be one hour for each drink as long as your not like 75lbs. Also, if you eat food prior to drinking your body will absorb the alcohol slowly. Or if you waterfall, drink water between every drink, you'll feel better in the morning.

Don't rush it Lisa. You'd probably o. K until you're in an accident. Even though you're still under the limit the police report is accessed by your insurance company and now both have access to that record. It can still count against you especially the next time. They're looking for a pattern.

Usually it takes one hour to feel the effect of alcohol and another hour to burn off one unit of alcohol. I reckon you could have 2 standard beers with some food and you'll be fine to drive 7 hours later.

Figure an hour per beer, for a typical beer with an ABV of 5%. More if you are a "lightweight." Probably wouldn't have more than three in any case.

It takes an hour for an ounce of alcohol or 1 beer to get out of your system. If you had 1 beer, you should be safe driving an hour after you finished the beer.

Unless you are 3'2" tall and weigh 63lbs you could drive immediately. But without knowing your weight, and the type of beer you will be drinking no way to give a definitive answer - but you can look up charts on line - 1 normal beer (<5.9%abv) = 1 drink - and figure it out yourself.
