Heating element on electric dryer heats up when not running.?
I replaced the control switch and wired it the same way, the heating element still heats up. The dryer came from a garage sale. The heating element still heats up when it's plugged in. Is it possible that it was wired wrong when I bought it?

Stuck centrifugal switch on motor will usually do that...but anything is possible from a garage sale
