Ideally she is not spayed until after her first heat - their is a risk of what is called spay incontinence if done so early. However shelters do it all the time, and it's better to spay too early than to risk an unwanted litter. If your vet will not do it, then call your local shelters and explain your situation and ask if they can recommend a vet. I am sure they will be happy to give you some names, and may even have a program at their shelter. One of our local shelters does, and the spay is charged is determined by weight of the dog, and income of the owner. Most however are at less than half the price of the same spay done at a private practice vets, and are actually done by vets with their own practices donating their time on their days off :)

I would never spay a dog this young and I wouldn't ever take on a dog that had been spayed that young.

Wait until at least she's had one heat cycle and then go half way inbetween ...so approx 9 months plus.

I for one do NOT recommend spaying a puppy this young, but if you're dead set on this, just call around to the different Vets in your area and ask them if they'll spay her this young. Just pick up the phone and start calling around. We don't even know where you live, let alone know anything about the Vets in your area. This is the world wide web.

You should wait until the dog has completed its first heat before spaying her.Their first heat can come around the age of six months hence the vet will not spay them before as they are not mature enough Spaying any earlier it would be comparible to taking the womb away from a child under the age of ten you see
