If the Titanic and Olympic switch actually had happened?

Disclaimer: Don't answer with anything like "it didn't, so it doesn't matter". Whether it happened or not it's irrelevant to the question. I'm asking what would happen if it had happened, not if it happened.

I've always thought this theory was, if nothing else, interesting to think about. I can't say whether I believe it or not, because both sides have their merits. What I'm wondering is, if it were to, in the future, be proven that the two had been switched, and the Olympic, masquerading as the Titanic, had been sank on purpose, in order to collect insurance money, would anything happen to the Cunard Line? I know White Star Line was owner of Titanic, but the two companies have since merged. Would they be penalized for it? I know it's been over 100 years, and I don't know if a Statute of Limitation for mass murder (which is what it would be) exists in the UK, but, since there were American passengers, could the US do anything?

Is what would happen now, after the two have merged, any different than what would have happened if they hadn't merged, and White Star Line was still around on its own? I don't expect the people working for or running the company to get punished, but the company, itself. In reality, if it were discovered to be true, would there be any actions taken because of it?
