My cat is eating 10x the amount she normally eats, any advice?

She s recently been diagnosed with cancer in her lower jaw and throat and I m just slowly accepting the fact that she hasn t got long. However she seems to be acting perfectly fine. Although, she has been eating an awful lot, she eats a lot anyway, we usually feed her about 8 times a day, and before someone says she ll be overweight, she s not and never has been, it s just her eating routine for the past 15 years. But recently she s been eating about 15ish times a day while losing a bit of weight, I m just curious as if this is a symptom of the cancer? I ve researched it and it says she should have loss of appetite but she s 10x as hungry as normal.

Is she on any medications? One of the side effects could be her feeling more hungry than normal. I would talk with your vet about it.

Don't give her too much food and consult your vet for the type, amounts and times you should be feeding her. Good Luck :)

If she's not getting fat and seems to be ok, just talk to your vet about the increase in appetite. It might be a good thing.

See a vet, how would we know?
