Why dont' poor people have interest in healthy organic foods?
So I notice that for poor people, food is just food. They will eat anything. A frozen pizza or frozen tv dinner is good enough for them. IF you start explaining how bad that stuff is for you they just don't get what you are talking about. Sort of like its a foreign language or something.

Because they are expensive, that's why.
Not everyone who is "poor" has poor eating habits and not everyone who is upper, middle class or affluent eats healthy.
There's also been studies in recent years that indicate that organic foods are really no more healthy than foods that aren't. The only difference between an organic banana and a non organic one is.. the organic ones cost more.
Some inner city people also actually don't have access to them. Many are far from a farmers market or a big grocery store that has them available. Some who don't drive or have access to transportation will shop at smaller markets and they have to get what is actually available to them.
You eat what you can afford and what you have access to get.

The healthier food doesn't have to be organically produced. The price of organic food can be twice or three times as much as regular food.
If a person eats mostly junkfood it's not always because it's cheap but because it's fast and easy to prepare and they have gotten used to it. Some people simply don't care or they don't know much about nutriton but that has nothing to do with a person's wealth. I didn't know much about nutrition until I started going to gym and wanted to see how bodybuilders or athletes create their meals.

Not to be rude but you sound completely ignorant. People with Financial problems can't just walk into healthy organic stores and spend lots of money on healthy organic things. They have a hard time with money already so quite naturally they are going to buy cheap foods. I mean it's not rocket science. If they didn't already have lots of other financial problems to worry about, then they'd probably have more time to worry about eating organic.

Organic food is expensive, it's as simple as that. Just because someone is poor does NOT mean that they are not wanting to eat healthy. It's not just poor people, it's people of all classes.

It's not that people do not have an interest in eating healthy organic foods.. Oh no.. It's that fact that organic foods cost considerably more that regular foods not grown organically. Think about this: Do you see a wholefoods, Dorothy Lane Market, Kroger Marketplace or whatever mid to high end chain grocery you have where you live in areas where lower income people live? No you dont. They put these stores where the money is period leaving everyone else to make due and if you don't have a car or ride the bus or a buddy with a car it makes it difficult for people to have access to better food. To ask this question was closeminded to begin with

Often the person is poor because they just don't care. There are plenty of chances to get money in this country.
Also, Organic foods often aren't any different than normal food, so they don't want to bother wasting money.

I'm poor but not everyone eats like that. I'm fit end even though I don't eat organic fruits/foods I still eat healthy foods and regular fruits. So not everyone that's poor has bad eating habits.

I'm not very rich but I have been always interested in healthy eating. It's completely fine for the poor people to be interested in their health too.

ALL food is ORGANIC. The difference is in the lie on the label and the way it is grown and the laws of that particular state. Many foods thought to be healthy are NOT. I eat a very cheap dietr, I enjoy it, and at 63 I have lost over 100 pounds from wehen I was 61, my blood panels are the best the last two years than EVER in my life, and I eat lats of kale, collard greens, and other things like that from my BULLIT drinks, dont eat high salt foods like man made meats(things that do not grow on an animal like hot dogs, sausage, etc) and fight a lot(on my knees) ha knowing the battle is won with kneeology not theology. it affects ones health too

Just because something is organic doesn't mean it's healthy. But anyways, it's because organic foods are considerably more expensive than cheap foods. Burgers at McDonalds are $1 but salads cost more than that, as an example.
