If a person's goal through fitness is to look great, are they still allowed to have fun a couple times per month with their friends?
Just wondering if a person who's goal is to look great, and also spends 6 days in the gym per week. Well is it ok for them to go out a couple nights per month and let loose and have a good time? A few cocktails watching a sporting event or something like that?
This person does not compete. They just enjoy the gym to feel great and stay attractive.
3 AnswersDiet & Fitness5 years agoWhy do nightclubs turn me off ever since I got married?
So I recently became a married man. Ever since I was engaged and after the day that I was married, the idea of going to a nightclub just disgusts me.
When I was in my 20's, I would go. The motivation of going was to get dressed up and hopefully meet someone since I was single. There were nights where I did meet people and then some I didn't. But one thing was different....... I was single. If I met someone I had the right to pursue them. I had no shame with whatever happened. Now that I am a married man and was engaged to the woman I love , I don't see the reason of going to a place that people use as a singles bar/club.
Plus I am 37, and most the people are 21 or 22. It just feels weird to be surrounded by people that were 6 years old when I was their age.
8 AnswersMarriage & Divorce5 years agoAre powerlifting exercies necessary for decent muscle growth?
Are powerlifting exercises such as clean and press and the squat necessary for muscle growth? If your main goal is just muscle growth and looking good , do you really need to do exercises that you would see a football lineman doing in workouts? I hear people say 'oh you must squat!"
Is that a bunch of rubbish?
3 AnswersDiet & Fitness5 years agoWhy are there people in their 30's who refuse to accept they are growing older and still act and dress the same way as they did when young?
So there is this guy I know. Even though he has aged he still speaks and dresses the same way as he did when he was 21. He is now approaching 40. Take it with a grain of salt though cause this is the guy that used to use a fake ID when he was 25 to get in dance clubs that only allowed teenagers.
2 AnswersSingles & Dating5 years agoWhy am I treated more poorly by people who are struggling to get by? I come from money and inheritance.?
So When I was younger I only used to hang out with people who came from the same social economic class as I did. I never experienced bitterness or a cold shoulder. When I got older I decided to broaden my circle and try to be friends with people who were less fortunate. Real blue collar people who came from nothing or worked paycheck to paycheck.
I dont' know why but I experienced people who really treated me with bitterness. Why?
6 AnswersFriends5 years agoWhy do older men have such bad fashion sense that attend trade shows?
So in my line of work, I attend trade shows here and there. For the most part, most of these men have horrible fashion sense. For example, they go to the show all day long and wear the same clothing. It gets wrinkled over the course of the day and they look tired. Many of these men do not wear hair products like gel or pomade in their hair. So lets just say at the end of the day once the trade show ends, they look like they could use a shower and a fresh pair of clothing that is a little more fashionable to go out in. But what do these older men do? They leave right from the trade show and go out to eat in the same clothing they wore all day long.
On the other hand, the younger guys that work trade shows well they take the time to go back to their hotel and freshen up , change clothes into something more fashionable and then head out for the evening for cocktails and dinner.
3 AnswersCorporations5 years agoWhy have I been treated differently ever since I started hanging out at places where blue collar people hang out?
I come from money. My father owns his own business. I Work for him. I must admit I have been spoiled and given many privileges. When I was younger, I always hung out with people who were raised the same way. As I got older I thought I Would broaden my horizons and start trying to be friends with people who come from all different walks of life. Let me just say I have been treated not as nicely by people who are very blue collar. They pretty much gave me the vibe of not caring about me all that much. The feeling I got from them and the treatment was" dont come around here. We don't want you around us." When I was younger people loved having me around. They would always say "So what company does your dad own, tell me about it." Would you like to come hang out with us? You should spend more time here.
Then what happens when I got older and going to places with blue collar people who came from nothing? "Why are you here? Why are you hangin out with us? Do you really like us?" Or I would just get no comments at all. They would just sit there stoned face with no emotion towards me or friendliness
1 AnswerOther - Society & Culture5 years agoWhy are younger women more superficial than older women?
Just go a question as to why women, mostly in the age range of 18-21, so superficial? Many of these women live at home or they have a roommate who is a close female friend. Their life consists of going to school and inviting guys over for parties and swimming. They want guys who take them out and buy them drinks, drive nice cars, and have a body of a fitness model.
As women get older, they still want a guy who is financially stable, but thier priorities when it comes to what they want in a man changes. They grow to understand that as men get older, maintaining the body of a fitness model or even having one is unrealistic and instead of having them over for parties they want to invite them over for a nice romantic dinner and a movie.
2 AnswersSingles & Dating5 years agoWhy are so many people on Facebook vain and into themselves so much?
Facebook man I'll tell ya, it just gets worse and worse as the years go by. People are so full of themselves that they have to post when they do this, or do that. I mean does anyone really care that you are sitting in a hot tub relaxing and having ME Time? Or taking a poop or pee? Give me a break. Oh and don't even get me started on the hundreds of selfies people post on there.
2 AnswersFacebook5 years agoHow come young african americans who act ghetto just don't get the fact that people stereotype them for being ghetto?
So Iets take two people, who are black. Dress one up in nice preppy clothing who speaks intelligently. Then dress one up in a hoodie and baggy clothes. Have both walk in a store. The black man who is dressed nice in a sweater and dress slacks will be treated better than the black guy who looks like a hoodlum.
Then the black guy who looks like a hoodlum will complain they are racially profiled even though they look like a troublemaker.
Why don't people like him get that your appearance is what attracts stereotypes. Not the color of your skin.
4 AnswersOther - Cultures & Groups5 years agoWhy am I hardly ever sore from lifting weights after a couple years of lifting in gyms?
So I'll tell you one thing, I hardly ever get sore anymore. A trainer could put me through a grueling workout and I am not sore. I could shovel snow and get sore, but I never ever get sore from lifting weights. I go to the gym 6 days a week. I will admit when I first tried a new exercise I got sore. But over the last two years I've tried so many that when I do them now, I don't get sore.
Why is that?
2 AnswersDiet & Fitness5 years agoWhy are there so many gay men in bodybuilding?
Why are they so gay so many of them? Not saying all male bodybuilders are gay. Many lift to get women. But there are many who are very very gay and like men.
Why?
6 AnswersLesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender5 years agoWhy dont' poor people have interest in healthy organic foods?
So I notice that for poor people, food is just food. They will eat anything. A frozen pizza or frozen tv dinner is good enough for them. IF you start explaining how bad that stuff is for you they just don't get what you are talking about. Sort of like its a foreign language or something.
61 AnswersDiet & Fitness5 years agoHow come steroid users have no shame in using steroids? Even though it makes them make progress faster than if they were natural?
Im thinking today about guys who abuse steroids. Is integrity out the window with these guys or what? Not sure if this offends you or not, but I find it very silly how a man could look at himself in the mirror or live with himself knowing that his gains, even though he has put in some hard work, would be far less if they were natural. Or even knowing that their bodies are not capable naturally of producing the results they have made with the abuse of steroids.
Does this just come down to plain old egomania and they don't really care about anything else no matter what it takes to get there?
1 AnswerDiet & Fitness5 years agoWhy do African Americans always blame white people for slavery? When in fact their black ancestors were the first slave owners in Africa?
So if you have ever taken history or done research on it. you learned that the people who sold slaves in Africa to white men, were in fact black men who lived in Africa. I'm just curious as to why so many african americans are ignorant to knowing about this.
1 AnswerOther - Society & Culture5 years agoWhy was there less violence back in the 1950's than there is now?
Why was there less violence back in the 1950's compared to 2016? There were no terrorist groups or fear of being attacked by one. There were no mass school shootings. I'm starting to think that technology and a surge in violence oriented entertainment like video games, music, and movies has played a huge role in how society has evolved. Am I right or wrong?
People back in the 1950's were much more church oriented and and had a strong family bond. They would sit and listen to the radio or read books. Young kids were idolizing singers like Elvis and Frank Sinatra and Sammy Davis Jr. The music had substance and talked about positive subjects.
Just saying.
7 AnswersOther - Society & Culture5 years agoWhy do so many male country top 40 singers look so gay?
So I can't help but notice the image that these guys have. Fake tans, hair is usually very feminine for a man, and its quite obvious they wear makeup. If you look at them they have that GAY look to them. Or Metrosexual I guess you could call it.
Why?
3 AnswersCountry5 years agoIs it common for some people to binge eat when they are stressed?
I had an uncle who everytime he got stressed he would overeat. Whatever he had for food he would make a couple big sandwiches loaded with everything. Is this common for people to use food as a way to combat stress?
2 AnswersMental Health5 years agoWhy does Black Lives Matter think that the police should listen to people instead of people making sure to listen to them?
So I'm reading an article today and they are complaining again about a black person being shot. Lady sat in her house, refusing to come out. This lasted 5 hours when the police served a search warrant at the residence. The police patiently waited over 5 hours to enter the home. When they were able to get a key, they entered the house with the search warrant and found the lady sitting there with a shotgun in one hand and her child in the other. She proceeded to point the shotgun at them and tell them she would start firing if they didn't leave her house. She then started firing and the police shot her dead. Now Black Lives Matter is actually saying the police once they entered the home should have listened to the woman and just walked away, even when she fired shots at them.
5 AnswersLaw Enforcement & Police5 years agoHow to build muscle when you reach a plateau when it comes to strength.?
Here's the scenario..........
Guy starts lifting, makes progress. He gets to a point where he finds it extremely difficult to go up in lifting weight with good form. He still wants to build mass so what is the best way he can do that without going up in weight? More reps? Tweaking his rep ranges? More volume?
