Quick question for Christians: How do you expect Jesus to save anyone when he couldn't even save himself from crucifixion?

Jesus could have saved himself (compare Matthew 26:53). But he chose to do Jehovah's will and not his own (John 4:34; 3:16; 1 Timothy 2:3, 4).

Jesus willingly gave Himself over to death on a cross because the whole point of His mission to Earth was to die that way! If He had come down off the cross, as mockers taunted Him to do, Satan would have won! There would have been no sinless (perfect) sacrifice for sin made, and we would remain in our sin, unable to atone for it.
Jesus knew that He would be resurrected from the dead because - by defeating death - it could not hold Him. Only sinners can be claimed by death, you see. As Jesus was without sin, yet allowed Himself to die, He HAD to be resurrected in triumph. This proved Him to be the Son of God, and He returned to God in Heaven, form where He had come. As the Bible says, the cross is the power of God unto salvation - but it's only when that benefit is applied to those putting faith in Jesus that they discover that power. Until then, it just seems nonsense, or ridiculous. You cannot be a saved sinner. Get a Bible and read 1 Corinthians 1:17-25. Then check the link. AiH

Jesus could have saved himself at anytime. By never losing his perfection, he couldn't die normally. No injury other than murder his body would have healed itself.
The reason Jesus came to earth from his place in heaven was to get humanity back on track to the human perfection Adam was created with and lost. God could never violate his own laws. Never just forgive and forget Adam 's violation of the one law they had.
Two their laws provided the solution. One was forgiveness was only possible by shed blood. #2 was it had to be of Equal Value to Adam. God could never get low enough to be equal yo Adam. No imperfect human could equal perfect Adam. Only a perfect human who could remain without sin his entire life could qualify. Then be willing to be a human sacrifice for all mankind. Replacing Adam as father of the human race, a step father. Equal Value. Jesus volunteered to become human through birth. Live a sinless life. Then die a Martyrs death. All for humanity.

The issue is Jesus rose from the dead. Before God's eyes man showed how cruel the people he made would be to his son. How far would the people go to destroy his son? God got his answers. He hit this planet with such an inpact that the entire planet stopped. For you to not to see Jesus role in the world makes you blind. Sad.

I dare you to read the Bible!
Jesus died for us Just as GOD order! Jesu even prayed to GOD asking to not have to be crucified "Not best my will but YOUR all be done.". The reason GOD had Jesus crucified was to Teach us with something that would NOT be forgotten! 2000 years and we are still here discussing it! Every single thing that Jesus did in his life is predicted in the Old Testament!
How do you explain the Bible Code discovered in the Bible that even has You coded in it? How did you get in there?

The problem is that you don't understand the reason of this human sacrifice for humanking...
"Just as the Son of man came, not to be ministered to, but to minister and to give his life as a ransom in exchange for many.” (Matthew 20:28. Bible).

Jesus allowed Himself to be crucified. It was His free choice. It was also His choice to resurrect. Now how many people do you know that can do that?
