If you found a work book that was a personal guide to write your own philosophy, would you do it?

This is a strangely worded question. Everyone has a personal philosophy. They don't need a workbook to come up with one. Why would you need a workbook instead of just blank paper? So, the workbook is a guide to write your own personal philosophy, so would it be specific questions or would it just say, "What is your personal philosophy?" Actually I just finished writing and publishing a philosophy book. I learned a lot but to be honest, I ended up having more questions at the end of writing the book than when I began. I think the issue is to accept that there will always be things we do not know. Thomas Edison said, "We know one millionth of what is knowable". And I would agree with that statement.

I think your question is a bit strange because you are asking if we would want help with finding our own personal philosophy. I think we have to figure out that for ourselves. I think there a lot of books that can help in our search for meaning. Each one shares from the author's experience and adds to our own. It is a continuing process. One that never ends.

If I needed a work book we'd be talking religion, not philosophy.

I already devised several philosophies. I am just not famous for them. For example, as a futurist, I like to think that I am can predict the future better than others, and in which case I predicate that we will live side-by-side with multiple dimensions of virtual AI in less than 30ty years.

Everyone has the same workbook. It is to find out why. Why we believe the things we do. Why we feel the things we feel. Why this, why that, why the other thing. Why, why, why. That is all you need to know to write your own life philosophy.

The best place to start is at the beginning. Learn and practice critical thinking. Many people start here: http://philosophy.hku.hk/think/critical/ct.php

I'd pick it up out of curiosity. Most likely, it would depend on if I saw it as a good thing, after looking it over.

Interesting...something I'd really have to think about. Like anything else, if it goes totally against how I see things..I'd probably get rid of it. lol

    No.

Reality, wisdom, truth ... they ARE and cannot be put into words.

For instance, how can you put the experience of an orgasm into writing so that a reader without this experience can know it for themselves?

If you get caught up in intellect TOO much, you stop being aware of what IS .. and yu lose your wisdom.

Of course not , my philosophy is as flexible as a reed in the wind. None of my views are fixed.
