Can you tell me differences between Bogota, Colombia and Quito, Ecuador? Which should I visit first and why?

The two are quite similar with the same Spanish backgrounds which lead to the architecture, language, and governance patterns. Bogota is higher in elevation and does not get hot except under exceptional circumstances. It is also much larger than Quito. Quito is not the largest city in Ecuador..that would be Guayaquil. Ecuador also is not as large as Colombia so it is easy to get around Ecuador. And don't miss the Galapagos. Yes, it is added cost but well worth the price.
