In the future, would a robotic eye see in higher resolution than a normal eye?

I'm talking like, a point in the future where robot parts have surpassed normal human parts. So I read somewhere that the human eye can't see in 4k, but could an advanced enough robot eye be able to see in 4k, or is it just a neural thing? I'm not a scientist, just a guy who plays Deus Ex.

A robotic eye already sees more bandwidth than your eye. Take your IR TV controller and look at the LED's while playing with the buttons. Now look at it with your cell phone camera. You can see IR with any digital camera. It can also see UV. Your eye cannot see these.

Yes, the brain takes time and energy to process the signals it receives via complex biochemical neurological pathways. It is essentially a computer (the brain), and even though it is incredible it has many limitations that are easily observable.
