Do you understand this short poem [The Roots}. Any advice to better the poem?

The Roots

Our mind seems unmanageable

Thousands of limbs seeking their own path

Branches though send signals from its core;

A root system that resides in ones heart

Author's Note: The pic prompt is of a blank

profile of a face, filled in more than half way

with the stem of a tree, its branches going in

numerous directions. The back of the face

profile was open and not bordered.

    It is a fine,short poem which makes me happy.

    I understand it to mean our minds are full of energy.

    Electrical impulses that scatter helter-skelter.

    The last 2 lines are about our cardiovascular system.

    Branches may also be a reference to God.

    We are lost and go in different directions.

    But if God changes our hearts we are saved.

    You should have elaborated and finished this poem.
