And im just gonna vape for about 2 to 3 weeks to help me quit and not crave smoking . And will when will smoker cough ( smokers cough is when you quit smoking and start to cough allot for your lungs to heal itself and remove the tat ) but i dont know when will it start and when will it end ? Thanks for your support and motivation to help me quit smoking. Thank you !

The cough will go away within a week or two of starting, and usually starts several days after quitting, but remember vaping is dehydrating so increase your water intake so you don't get a weak cough from a dry throat. Newly quitting vapers tend to vape a lot because your body is still screaming for its former poison, so expect to need lots more water than you usually do.

Your sense of smell will return a lot over the next month, vaping doesn't prevent that, so don't freak out if there's a few days you feel like a bloodhound and are overwhelmed by smells. There's no need to inhale vapor, if you're using nicotine that absorbs through the skin so you'll get the same effect from mouthing your vapor as you do inhaling it fully.

Good luck, you can do it! Remember every single cigarette you turn down is a victory. Any slip up isn't failure, it's just one moment where you didn't win that battle, but you'll get stronger and win more, and eventually you'll forget that you even liked smoking. In a year you'll look back and realize you haven't had lingering colds that last forever, can walk up stairs without wheezing, your bank account will be so much fatter, and you'll feel like a total winner.

Things about vaping. I tried it, and it was too much for me. It does help you get used to not smoking though. You can overdose on it and throw up. You don't need as many puffs from it...maybe 1-3. It can give you a sore throat.

I found the buzzes you get too intense. It literally makes you feel like you suddenly downed two beers but can still function. Mine was banana flavoured and the other one chocolate raspberry or something...and a mint one. So, with that said, just be careful, if you get too much of a kick and have to drive. Some of them are strong.

Eventually I just quit smoking. I'm on month 3 and feel pretty much like the cravings are almost non-existent. Keep at it. Never let your guard down. Always good when a week passes to repower your willpower to quit by saying "if I can do this for one week I can do it again!" Because it's true.

Also, month 2 is easier then month 1, and month 3 is easier then month 2. Keep that in mind when you feel the urge, just know if you can just hold off, and bite your lip for a while, it gets completely managable.

Good luck you can do it!

Source(s): I'm not saying you shouldn't vape, I do believe it helps you deal with not smoking actual cigarettes, making the quit easier. There will be the day you wake up, and not think about smoking and when you noticed you didn't, it will be one heck of a good feeling. :)

Vaping isn't going to "help" you quit smoking. That's a fallacy. By vaping instead of smoking a cigarette, you are just replacing one behavior with another. Trying to quit smoking by vaping is really no different from using the e-cigarettes that some people use when they are trying to quit smoking.

In order to quit smoking, you must first get over your nicotine addiction, but some of the flavor cartridges in vapes contain a small amount of nicotine - so you won't make any progress that way.

If you are able to get over your nicotine addiction, you must then get over your psychological craving for cigarettes - the desire to hold a cigarette between your fingers, etc. That's the really HARD part. You already have the psychological desire - you want to vape so you will have something to hold in your hand. Vaping will only reinforce your psychological craving.

I suggest you try one of the prescribed anti-smoking drugs (Zyban or Chantix), or maybe the nicotine patch instead.

How long will a "smoker's cough" and hacking up phlegm last after you quit smoking? It can last for MONTHS.
