Who should I contact if I think my college (a two year school) is misappropriating financial aid?

You can contact the Office of the Inspector General to report suspected fraud or abuse.http://www2.ed.gov/about/offices/list/oig/hotline.... However, before you do that, make an appointment with the Director of Financial Aid at your school to discuss your concerns. Often there are good reasons for what a school does that are not apparent to the student because financial aid can be very complicated and there are many, many regulations that schools have to observe. Take detailed notes about what is said, and ask the person you meet with to review the notes to be sure that you've recorded the conversation correctly, then ask him/her to sign your copy so you have some evidence of what was agreed.
