If nobody's going to place their questions in the proper section or sub-section, why should Yahoo Answers bother with all of these sections?

We used to be required to choose a category before posting a question, but now we cannot choose a category until after the question has been posted.

Many users either assume their questions will land in the category they'd want or don't realize that they can choose and change the category themselves. So a question will often end up in an irrelevant category, and the asker leaves it where it is.

Level 7 users can move other users' questions at will, and many spend way too much time amusing themselves by sending questions to incorrect categories simply to annoy the users who asked the questions. We're supposed to use the category-shift ability to correctly recategorize a question which ended up in the wrong place accidentally, but it's mostly just another troll-toy.
