How to UNDO Microsoft update?
Microsoft latest update, done on 9-21 is a mess and slowing down my computer. It put a ton of 'tiles' on my desktop that I'll never use while making the things I do use often hard to find. I went to do a 'system restore' and my computer won't show ANY restore points other than 9-21! I've tried twice to restore my computer since it says it will restore to 'before' that point but it won't work and no other restore points are showing up even though I've used the system restore before!

I'm going to assume you got the anniversary update on windows 10. However, if you have tiles on your desktop, that's another issue altogether, as there are no tiles on the desktop, and haven't been since Win8. Are you sure you didn't accidentally turn on tablet mode? That would do exactly what you are saying. Anniversary update doesn't slow down PC's.

try this
Control Panel
programs and features
on the left panel click on "view installed updates"
to uninstall an update, select it from the list and choose uninstall
