Why ask Jehovah's Witnesses a question?

I'm legitimately curious why people ask JW's questions on this board and after getting their questions answered by multiple JW's, choose as "best answer" the response of a person who ISN'T a JW and opposes them?

To me that's like asking a mathematician a math question and only listening to the responses of people who flunked out of math and hate it. Makes ZERO sense to me.

Gee, I could have posted this question. People or all creeds and from all walks of life do this. Many times a questioner doesn't really choose a BA. He chooses an AA -- agreeable answer.

You could ask why the JWs do the exact same thing.

As for why, I'm sure they have their reasons. Maybe it is because JWs don't really answer acceptably and just copy and paste things from their website. That wouldn't be an acceptable answer to me.

I was just pointing out to someone how JWs do this, trying to put a positive spin on their religion because there is so much bad press with all of their lying, protecting pedophiles and covering up child sex abuse that is playing out in the courts and media right now. On top of that, sending convicted pedophiles to people's doors! Can you blame them? The public is now aware of what they're really about and what they do.

  • Most of the time it's because the asker isn't really interested in what Jehovah's Witnesses really believe, but rather they like pushing their negative agenda.

It actually has the opposite effect than what they intend most of the time. For example, I've received many emails asking about our beliefs because their attention was brought to us by these bogus 'questions.'

Also, I received one from someone who was disgusted at the behaviour of a prominent user on here who claims to be Christian and yet tells lies about us regularly.

That's the way people are. Don't know what's good for 'em.

Because JW'S are using this forum to propogate their cult lies and subterfuge and "get their time in". You all are not honest about your agenda. And the world needs to know that you harbor pedophiles and have been caught sending them to an unsuspecting publics' door.

Because the answers that JWs give are usually cut and past blather from their handlers. OR inaccurate scripturally, or the question is formulated to expose the darker nastier side of this cult

The JWs do the EXACT same thing.
