Pence vs Kaine VP Debate criticism?

Kaine, was too eager. Other than that on almost every key issue he laid out components of a policy and tied in multiple quotes from Trump. Most of which were of course denied by Pence.

As for Pence, he stayed calm. That alone works well for viewers that arent sure of what they see. He had many problems trying to defend Trump's position on key issues like Immigration, Nuclear Terror and smirked when confronted with actual quotes from Trump as if they werent true.

In my mind, Kaine won on the fact that he had more plans presented and used actual quotes from Trump himself. Pence was the more calm but said almost nothing.

Pence's demeanor scored well with viewers. Post-debate polls are already showing that it didn't change anybody's mind about who they're voting for. If anything, at least Pence showed that HE isn't crazy (like his running mate).

Maybe that was his purpose tonight.

btw, I completely disagree with your characterization of the debate.
Kaine interrupted the entire 30 minutes and repeated the same lines again and again and again.  He was rehearsed and did not have much material

Kaine didn't use any actual quotes from Trump. He gave statements out of context.

Sometimes a calm demeanor is off putting because it shows a lack of passion and it also shows an attempt to get under the skin of your opponent.
