Don't forget the GIGANTIC deductibles you will have to pay before your insurance does you any good

That's about the same price you will pay if you don't have the insurance to cover regular check ups.

Even at planned parenthood, mamograms cost $90 without insurance. Your prostate exam can run $300, teeth cleaning paying cash can be $100 and up without insurance.

    For 4 people, ah well.

Interesting! If you have a $2,000 penalty for not having health coverage, the formula works out that you had over $200,000 AGI last year. If you are now homeless and without medical coverage, who do you think might be at fault. Oh! And also, I despise Obama as the worst president and I also agree with Bill Clinton that PPACA is a disaster

Well lets use conservative logic, shall we? You were laid off so obviously you're lazy/useless/incompetent: why should you get any help from the tax payer? Health care is a privilege and your family deserves to suffer for not being privileged. Of course Obamacare can actually help you but I'm going to keep quiet about that because Americans who suffer deserve it, according to contard logic.

You're likely eligible for medicaid. It's not perfect, won't cover regular doc appointments, and you'll have a HUGE share of cost, BUT it will save you from the fine, if something catastrophic happens you'll be covered and it's free.
