What if they gave a Presidential Election and nobody came?
9 AnswersGender Studies5 years agoI have a broken clean-out valve between the house and the septic tank. Suggestions?
For over a year it has been taped to the main septic line with electrical tape and had cliche packed around it to keep it stable. Are there any better ways to fix this clean-out? The main line is broken and the clean-out sits neatly in the hole. The black electrical tape covered the juncture and went around a re-bar metal stake used to stabilize it before packing the cliche around it. The septic tank filled with water from the drain field following heavy rains recently, and I had to check the line for clogs. Now I have to put the clean-out back and I am asking for an easy fix.
1 AnswerMaintenance & Repairs6 years agoI have a 2005 Chrysler 300C. The engine malfunction light has been on most of the time since I bought the car last year.?
I have taken the car to my mechanic three times, and there is nothing wrong with the engine. But the light keeps coming on. I have tried disconnecting the batter, but the light comes on shortly after driving it again. When they recalled the gas tank last year, I got the tank replaced. That solved the stalling problem, but the light still stays on. Should I just ignore the light? Anyone else have this problem? What did you do? Thanks.
3 AnswersChrysler6 years agoIs there any chance for a flat tax in the USA?
The flat tax, the non-partisan government, the self-sacrificing politician, democracy by popular vote, national pride and unity - are all these dead and gone, or just critically ill?
2 AnswersGovernment7 years agoIf I am tired of selling real estate, what are some other well paying jobs I can qualify for?
I am beyond retirement, and wanting to retire for real. I no longer enjoy listing properties or helping others buy properties. I have my license, but have thought of letting it expire. What are some other jobs that pay well for a real estate salesperson? How do I find those jobs? Thanks for your suggestions.
5 AnswersRenting & Real Estate7 years agoHP Officejet Pro 8600 Printer?
My printer is printing a line on the left about two inches in, the full length of copies I make. I have cleaned the scanner glass several times and tried to clean the automatic feeder several times. The line is solid and pretty dark. What do I need to do to get rid of that line? This is top priority for me; I need clean copies. The warranty on the printer has expired three months ago.
2 AnswersPrinters7 years agoI have thought of retiring to the south of Chile. Is that possible on just $1800 a month?
My wife (Chilean) and I, together, make $1800 US on social security, and would like to retire to the south of Chile. Has anyone of you done that on a small income? I have looked at real estate sites, and the prices for homes are sky high compared to Texas. Are we just dreaming? We lived on $500 US a month in Chile 40 years ago. Now we are reading that it takes a minimum of $3000 a month to live there. Is that right?
1 AnswerChile7 years agoChrysler 300 C - What is the black thing right behind the plastic front bumper and the grill?
I just screwed the front license plate onto the front bumper with one-inch screws. I am thinking I may have screwed into the black thing behind the plastic bumper. I could not see how much clearance, if any, there is behind the front bumper. I did not feel resistance as I put in the two screws. Is there enough clearance there for screws to put on the license plate?
5 AnswersChrysler8 years agoOkay, I own a 2002 Mitsubishi Montero Sport with 166K miles on it.?
The Number 1 Oxygen Sensor has quit working, so the Check Engine Soon light is on and off, usually off when I go to the mechanic. The transmission fluid is leaking, but I just add fluid when I get the oil changed. The oil is leaking about a quart between oil changes. The timing belt will probably have to be changed at 180K miles. Am I better off getting the car fixed, or trading it in on another used car? With another car, making car payments and full coverage insurance payments does not sound inviting. When does fixing a car become more expensive than buying, all things considered?
1 AnswerMaintenance & Repairs8 years agoI have an HP 8100 Printer. On one site, copies are printed with Categories highlighted in gray. My other HP?
My other HP 8600 Printer does not print the gray highlighted categories. How do I prevent the gray highlighting of the categories when downloading copies to my HP 8100?
1 AnswerPrinters9 years agoSocial Security at 62, 66, or 70?
I took my social security at 62, but now that my wife is 62, I have been trying to convince her to wait until we need the added income (which may or may not be soon) so that her income after I die can be a little higher. I have heard from some who say Congress may take away Social Security and that she should take it while she has the chance, and that she may not live to 66, and that she should take it while she is still alive. Of course, if she dies, she won't need the money; and if Congress takes it away, all of us will lose. My concern is that she will need more monthly income once my social security is gone. Please explain why you would choose when you would choose to take your social security benefits.
3 AnswersSenior Citizens10 years agoService Engine Soon Light & Codes?
I saw an article on Yahoo! News about a week ago that claimed that you could do something with the ignition switch to find out a code that would tell you what was causing your Service Engine Soon Light to come on; then the article went on to tell you that there was a site on the internet that would tell you for free what that code meant. Well, my Service Engine Soon Light has come on, but I can't remember what the article said, and I can't find any helpful information on the internet. Do any of you know how to access the code without special tools and where to find out what the codes mean once I know the number? (Another article on the web said that the light indicates emission problems, but that a rough running engine will indicate that the problem is serious.) I hate to pay a mechanic $150 just to hook the car up to a computer, and then pay him again to fix whatever is wrong.
5 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs10 years agoTrouble Connecting to USAA.com?
For the past week, I have been unable to connect to USAA.com. USAA cannot find a solution. My server (dial-up) cannot find a solution. There was no problem prior to this past week. I have tried to connect on Internet Explorer 9 and on Firefox browsers. Neither one connects. I am having trouble only with USAA websites. USAA assures me I am the only one having this problem. Anyone of you having this problem? Anyone have any ideas as to how to solve the problem?
Other - Internet1 decade agoIn "Swing Vote," Kevin Costner asked a very good question:?
In a country as rich as ours, why is it that so few people seem to be able to afford to live here? The two presidential candidates were about to answer the question when the movie credits came on and the movie ended. What would your answer to that question be?
