I'm going to Disney World for Christmas. WHERE SHOULD I GO FIRST??

I *like* to visit Magic Kingdom first because it's the perfect start to a Disney World vacation. However, I tend to visit parks on certain days based on crowd calendars and Extra Magic Hours (which are for Disney World resort guests only).

If this is your first trip to Disney World then I would definitely recommend starting with Magic Kingdom. There is just something about Cinderella's castle being the first big Disney icon you see that always gets you extra pumped for the rest of your trip.

If you are going to Disney World for Christmas then you must see the Magic Kingdome first.

First a question for you. What are you dates?

Up until around December21st, The Disney parks

are quite slow. Then The Animal Kingdom - the animals do not like the dark, so that park closes

early. The last part of December and up to about

the 3rd of January the Magic Kingdom and Epcot are full, full, full. So especially with children I have to recommend the Magic Kingdom first and Epcot second Hollywood Studios problem with great amount of construction.

How many days are you going and what days?

I have used Bob Sehlinger's "The Unofficial Guide to WDW" for the last 20+ years and their TouringPlans sister site - never steered me wrong....

We like to start our trip at Magic Kingdom, because that's our favorite park. But there's really no "right" or "wrong" starting place.

You are making the assumption that they will be open, which may not be the case. They might close if the weather service predicts a snowstorm in New York.
