I screwed up my computer by setting it back to factory specs. How do I fix it?

Like Adrian says, the machine isn't "screwed up", it's just set everything back to how the machine was when it was first taken out of the box. You use the Factory Restore for FIX serious scewups, but deleting EVERYTHING and starting again.

Problem is that now all the setting you have put into the machine aren't there any more. WIFI and email passwords, printer drivers, and any other software that's been installed since you bought the machine. You have to go though and re-do all that jazz, as if you had bought a new machine.

That is not "screwing it up", that is resetting it to a clean, factory image. So, what is wrong with that? Did the restore fail? (HDD may be faulty then)

Did you forget to make backups of your personal files? If so, they are gone for good when you do a factory reset, that is what backups are for - sorry.
