Will I fail high school and the IB Program with two Fs in Quarter 1? Is there still hope for me to succeed?
Hello, I am a senior in high school and am participating in the IB Program. With the end of quarter 1 and the start of quarter 2, I ended up with two Fs: one in my HL of English and in my SL of Theory of Knowledge. My parents have been ridiculing me saying that I will not be able to graduate on my grade level and go to college due to this quarter grade. In all honesty, I don t think that s the case due to colleges mainly looking at Semester Grades, if I m not mistaken. However, I am afraid that these two Fs will affect my progress towards the IB Diploma or even graduation. In the light of this situation of anger and hate towards me, I just want to know that if I work hard these three quarters, will I still be able to graduate with my grade level and the IB Diploma?

Well i don't know how your school does credits but I'm sure its probably similar. My school does grades by semester average so if you get an 80 first quarter and a 60 next quarter your semester average would be 70. Depending how high or low your F was you really need to get a high grade this quarter and your grade should average out if your school does it differently you should definitely talk to your guidance counselor. Hope I helped :)

if you got 2 Fs then likely you either did zero work or the courses are not suitable for you
