If your fish has not made it, use this as a lesson:
a. Condition the water and cycle it with a filter
b. Don't change all the water at once, it stresses the fish
c. Most betta fish from the store look fine but are SICK and HALF-DEAD. Choose wisely
If your fish made it, follow step A, remember step B, and burn step C into your head. Also, your fish possibly has been over/under fed? Just feed it 2 or 3 pellets OR a pinch of bloodworms every morning and evening.
I hope the little guy/gal made it!

You changed too much water. Do not take the fish out. Always use conditioner. Always change part of the water each week. Not more than 1/2 at once. You need a filter and a heater.
This fish is in shock. There is nothing you can do except wait and see if it gets better.

You killed your fish. You NEVER use tap water. You need to condition the tank. You NEED 5 gallons minimum, a heater and a filter and temps at 78-80. Next time research proper set up of any tank and the requirements for the fish.

The water you use from tap has chlorine in it. you have to buy a treater for the water that you can get in your pet store until you can get that i recommend putting your fish in filtered water from the fridge just let it turn room temperature first because beta fish dont like cold

When you replace the water you MUST buy water conditioner to remove the chlorine and ammonia from the water before you put the fish in it.
