The BODY damage would cost more to repair than the car was EVER worth. That ignore the frame damage AND the engine replacement. Any shop that doesn't declare that vehicle totaled is dishonest in the extreme.

That's going straight to the crusher. Repair isn't even going to be considered.

If the air bag system was working (no SRS or airbag light on) you may have not hit or been hit hard enough to deploy the air bags. If the light was on it can cost over $3,000 to replace the parts needed to make the system work again.
