Rock and Pop: Here's a bit of a challenge (well kinda....)?

Beforehand, I want to apologize for not posting any SAWs for the past 2 or 3 weeks. It's been really busy, and I've been going through a lot. I thought I'd post this now, though, since it's an idea I've had for a while.

Your task is to list your favorite album from each year of the decade, in which you were born. I posted this same challenge probably over a year and a half ago, but since my music taste has changed (and yours, possibly), I'm redoing it. Oh, and if you can't think of one for every single year, that's fine.

Here are my picks for the '90s.

1990: Depeche Mode - "Violator"

1991: Primus - "Sailing the Seas of Cheese"

1992: The Cure - "Wish"

1993: Primus - "Pork Soda"

1994: Nine Inch Nails - "The Downward Spiral"

1995: Radiohead - "The Bends"

1996: Weezer - "Pinkerton"

1997: Radiohead - "OK Computer" / Modest Mouse - "The Lonesome Crowded West" (tie)

1998: At the Drive-In - "In/Casino/Out"

1999: Nine Inch Nails - "The Fragile"

Some of my choices are the same, actually...

BQ: Are there any albums from my picks that you enjoy?

BQ2: Ask me any question.

Hey, Ryan. I totally understand what you're going through; life just gets in the way sometimes. Here are my picks:

    1990: Ride - Nowhere

1991: My Bloody Valentine - Loveless

    1992: R.E.M. - Automatic for the People

    1993: Slowdive - Souvlaki

1994: Pavement - Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain

    1995: Cap'n Jazz - Shmap'n Shmazz

    1996: Weezer - Pinkerton

1997: Spiritualized - Ladies and Gentlemen We Are Floating in Space

1998: Refused - The Shape of Punk to Come

1999: The Flaming Lips - The Soft Bulletin

BQ: Yep. I love Pinkerton, and I like The Bends & OK Computer, as well.

BQ2: Which genre of music had more innovation, in your opinion: Post-punk, or post-hardcore.

Aloha Ryan, I'll give this a shot. May not be able to do every single year. I think albums were released on stone tablets back then.

1960: "Giant Steps" - John Coltrane

1961: "The Genius Sings the Blues" - Ray Charles

1962: "Surfin' Safari" - The Beach Boys

1963: "The Free Wheelin' Bob Dylan" - Bob Dylan

1964: "Meet The Beatles" - The Beatles

1965: "Rubber Soul" - The Beatles

    1966: "Revolver" - The Beatles

    1967: "Disraeli Gears" - Cream

1968: "Electric Ladyland" - Jimi Hendrix Experience / "The White Album" - The Beatles (Tie)

1969: "Led Zeppelin II" - Led Zeppelin / "Abbey Road" - The Beatles (Tie)

BQ: Definitely...most of them, in fact.

BQ2: Why no albums from the early 90s "Seattle Scene" on your list?

Hey, Ryan. That's easy. I was born in 1946, and pretty much hate the music of the entire decade.

Fortunately, by the time I was old enough to pick stuff, it had seriously improved. Here's a start.

The next ten years just exploded, in many ways.
