Past life ?
Okay so not to sound dumb or nerdy but im askin this just out of random thoughs and curiosity. What if we had a past life and were married, would we go to heaven and see our wife and kids ? (Example: used to live in the medieval days and died in war). Also what about those who remarry? If you die and go to what ever heaven you believe in are you condemning your ex wife or husband to be alone for all eternity? Maybe they get reborn and its like a prossec. Whats your take on this ? Also dont comment saying there is no god, dont be a downer. Thanks.

Since this is just a random hypothetical with no basis in reality, are you really expecting an accurate answer? Past lives and the afterlife are both just things that some people believe in. There's no facts available about either one, because they're not based on fact.

These mysteries of reincarnation are unknowable.
I think we are reunited with loved ones, but also that the pressure to reincarnate increases until it becomes unbearable. This is because we are not fully evolved, and the only possible place to evolve is on Earth and on the material plane. They say that our former great grandmother might become our daughter in our next lifetime, but who knows.

I have always found it interesting how some feel that their current life is heaven and wish to live it for an eternity.

I don't think it works like that. I think each of our individual consciousnesses are just a product of the workings of our individual nervous systems. Before and after this nervous system is operational, there's no consciousness, no "you".
Continuity of consciousness is just something we try to convince ourselves of because the number one biological imperative is to keep ourselves alive, and believing that Oblivion is horrifying helps keep us resisting it.

This makes no sense. People who believe in reincarnation do not generally believe in heaven and people who believe in heaven do not generally beleive in reincarnation.
