Will stock price still go up? What do you think?

Well we are close to Christmas, which means that retail businesses with do like 65%+ of their yearly sales from Thanksgiving to January (only 6-7 weeks). So retailers and investors with retail stocks stay optimistic. I believe stocks generally either rise or stay level throughout the first of the next year. I've not done research about any other 'bubbles' that we may have, but I think the collapse of 2007/8 pretty much burst all the financial services/markets bubbles.
We live in a financial world, by that I mean that companies used to "produce" goods to make a profit, they had to build something. Years back banks and investment firms started making different and tricky investment vehicles, and in doing this they found they could make a good deal of money simply trading - companies like General Electric used to only make "stuff", in the present day they are mostly a financial firm; they make money trading the markets. (Not making products)
I'm pretty sure that I've read that we are in an information age, no longer in the industrial age; at least the USA. Poorer countries are doing manufacturing now, even if the firm is American owned, and I don't see manufacturing ever coming back to the USA, even though Trump has promised such.
I do have money in the stock market, just enough to pay bills and travel a little. But if I had to do stuff over again I would buy homes and rent them out. It's a smart move, you buy a home and someone else pays the mortgage off. Enjoy~ B

Stock prices will ALWAYS "go up" over the long term, until humans stop having new ideas and no longer need investment dollars to grow their businesses....

No it jumped to its new normal yesterday and now it's done. Stocks only take 1 day to adjust.

I've been in the market since the 7th grade, and we all know that the markets don't only go up, they go up and they go down.
Yes the market will go up but eventually it will go down and no one knows when
