Figurative language homework help!?

1. He killed the engine

2. The streeetlights had fallen away he doused his headlights, and the scrub around them silvered, turned to moonscape

3. You've been to the rodeo a few times

4. A wind buffeted the truck and kicked up the odor of the brackish creek

5. Her movement reminded him of a trickle of water tracking through pebbles

6. He wanted to see her as an animal he'd managed to avoid, a rare and dangerous creature he'd desceibes for robbie when he got home.

7. Blood was surging in his veins, like he'd swerved to miss something in the road and his truck had just skidded to a stop and he didn't know yet if he was hurt, if the world was changed.

    I don't know if you want me to just label them or tell what they actually mean so ill do both (Nvm they are all figurative). Please award best answer if it helps.

    1. He turned off the engine.

    2. He drove past the street lights, turned on his headlights, and the area was lit up. (unsure on the moon part)

    3. You are experienced.

    4. It was windy and smelt bad. (Im not sure how your teacher wants these answered. An example would be helpful next time.)

    5. He noticed that she was moving side to side. (Unsure on this one too might be talking about wind)

    6. He was afraid of her and wanted to avoid her. (Unsure on this one too might be talking about wind)

    7. He was nervous.

    So I think this might be one entire story not separate quotes and I'm not sure that the "her" actually refers to a person and isn't just him just talking about the wind.
