Do I need a degree for an O-1 visa in the USA?

So ive been asking some questions and not getting any real answers that are helpful (to me) I want to be a stop motion animator and have been working towards that for 2 years being self taught and I am currently filming 1 short film and I am planning (self funded/community funded) another short that I am going to enter in one of the largest film competitions. I plan to win, This will give me a international/national award to my name.

Its just the beginning, I am going to the UK soon and I plan on doing a course to update my skills with stop motion animators who run stop motion studios in the UK, such as Aardman. I do have the skills to get hired there and that's the plan. I don't and will never have a BA degree. My dream carrer is at Laika, on the silk road job site they state that an international candidate may apply and submit portfolio, It states that I need to make sure I qualify for a visa before hand though and lists ''O-1, TN, H-1B, etc.)'' Now doing my own research I do seem to qualify for the 0-1 visa if I am successful in gaining this award, and making the contacts that I am currently about to make. Is this correct?

I know ive asked a few times but I am not getting any answers, just people saying ''don't bother'' because its too difficult. I don't think its difficult and its my chosen career.

Update:

So, the first comment below is what I am talking about...

Believe me, I am working on my skills and ability... I have a very good chance at being the best in the business. I have a very good chance at winning the award and many more. I am going to have a high level of achievement. All I am Fu'king asking is if I need a piece of paper that says ''degree'' on the top to get in or can I USE MY EXTRODINARY SKILLS AND TALENT THAT NO AMERICAN CITIZEN WOULD HAVE...

Are you going to ask this question every day just to receive the same answer. O visas are for "Individuals with Extraordinary Ability or Achievement ." While you may think you are talented, which you may be or not, stop animation is not really an achievement worthy enough for an O-type visa. If you were a scientist, engineer or world renowned actor/entertainer THEN you are sponsored for the visa. You DO NOT apply for it. Only major movie studios would qualify to give you an O-visa. There are plenty of excellent American stop motion artists on demand with impressive portfolios. Maybe you will blow them away with you talent. Only time will tell.

No, you don't need a degree but you must be an 'Individual with Extraordinary Ability or Achievement' which must already have been demonstrated by having achieved acknowledged success in your field.

Individuals with Extraordinary Ability or Achievement

You are 'hoping', have a 'dream/ambition' and have no Extraordinary Ability or Achievement or experience basing it on 'if' you win an award at some time in the future.......no
