What do you think about the Carbon Tax?

Update:

A carbon tax would be placed on all items that produce carbon, such as gasoline. The idea is that people will use products that produce carbon less frequently if a tax is placed upon them. The less carbon released, the less of a contribution towards global warming there is (theoretically).

I'm all for it, but I'd love to hear what YOU think!

It's fraud, or rather demanding money with menaces.

The idea that government should and can fine-tune the weather is laughable fraud and hysteria.

The scientific DATA do not support the HYPOTHESIS that we face catastrophic global warming caused by man-made CO2 emissions.

One graph tells the whole story. CO2 emissions have gone up and up and up and up and up and up; while global temperature averages have not, and according to the IPCC, have "paused" i.e. flatlined.

This means the entire theory is wrong, which is what ALL the computer models that the hysterics were relying on have been proved FLATLY INCORRECT.

It's nonsense on stilts, exactly the kind of corrupt fraud and anti-productive privilege we would expect the left-fascists to be indulging in, and forcing everyone else to pay.

Talk about your trickle-down economics. There has never been a tax that wasn't passed on to the public. So they are going to tax my gas so that I'll start using public transit? Only problem is the transit systems where I live don't go where most people work. Guess what, a tax bonanza for the feds since there are no alternatives.

Very foolish idea. You are once again going to hurt the poorest Americans the most. This would be devastating for the working class. Why do you liberals try and claim you care about the poor then f**k them hard in the a$$ at every turn?

First, the democrats want to force us to pay 10% of our pre-tax income to wealthy insurance execs, and now they want us to pay a tax because we are carbon-based?

If we the people had the power of the printing press we would have no problem paying all these taxes they are starting to impose upon us.
