According to Christianity, can suicide be considered good in some circumstances?

Sacrifice is not suicide. Were that so there would be way fewer saints than there are now.

No greater love has a man than to surrender his life for someone else!

In the case of a person climbing a mountain and the pitons give way and 1 man cuts his rope and falls to his death to save the other

This form of suicide is considered noble by God.

A man who goes to battle to save his people knowing he will die is another.

Suicide is never good. It's a sin.

Since you don't have enough faith in God to trust him to help you out in this case, suicide is preferable. You weren't going to heaven either way, but at least you won't be dragging millions down with you. You wouldn't have killed yourself if you had faith in God. Then God would have been able to guide you through the situation through the Holy Spirit. This would have been the preferable option.

By any measure I can think of, Jesus committed suicide.

Just the opposite! Anyone and everyone that kills them self go straight to Hell! They do not even get to go to the Judgement area first!
