Can I use an ssd and a hdd in the same computer?
Total war warhammer is really slow on my hdd and i keep seeing recommendations on forums to use an ssd, but I also have a lot of files I want to keep stored so I dont want to just get rid of my 1 TB hdd are there any videos that show how to set up what I need to do, i found a few videos but they all had different ways of going about it so I would like to have the advice of someone that knows their stuff when it comes to these things
well its good to know that its possible but if anyone could point out a tutorial that would be awesome, my knowledge of the deep software and hardware stuff is very limited and the tutorials ive been seeing are fairly different and are confusing me
people below are saying its incredibly easy, I'm going to guess I basically just set up the ssd and re insert the hdd
I just want to thank Mr. Hyde for explaining it, you are awesome

Yes, it is a very common configuration that you will have no problem with. I have built many computers this way. Boot from the SSD and use the HDD for storage. Games that require a lot of disk access run MUCH faster from an SSD, such as Skyrim.

Most computers have 4 or more SATA slots. HDDs, SSDs, and DVD drives all use them. So as long as you have extra SATA slots you can add extra drives.
Moving the data to the SSD might be a little more tricky. If you want to install your OS on it it's usually easiest to just re-install it from scratch, then delete it off of the old drive. You can get tools that migrate your data from one drive to another, but I've never used them so I don't know what features they have.
If you just want to move the games to the SSD it's pretty easy to just re-install them there and move your save data over.
It's also important to keep a backup of any data that is important to you. Hard drives can fail at any time. I've currently got my OS and some games on an SSD, music, pictures, and such on my HDD, and a second HDD to back up everything to.

Yes. I use a 775 GB SSD and a 3 TB HDD on mine. I use the SSD for OS and one game that is disk intensive and everything else on the HDD. NO problems whatsoever. I highly recommend it. My boot time is around 20 seconds.
