why is the toyota website lying about its truck prices?

I'm looking at toyota website it says MSRP is 24k starting on the 2016 tacoma SR5 model but when I put that in it says its 29k wtf why are they lying? where did they just bump up 5 grand from?

    You didn't read the website very well. The 24,120 base model is the SR, not the SR5. That's for the shorter cab, shorter bed, RWD, 4 cylinder. The SR5 starts higher (26+) and you must have added options. Don't forget the advertised MSRP does not include delivery - there will always be a few hundred added for that, even if you choose no options.

    Have you ever noticed that the sticker price can be haggled as long as you have the b alls to raise your voice above a squeak and wave a little cash at a dealer? MSRP is not a lie- it's a suggestion.

    Toyota dealers are known to lie. Wait till you need them to fix something under warranty then the quailty of their lies really comes into play as why you broke it and they are billing you at 3 times the rate of a normal mechanic.

    Who says they're lying? You're not going to be able to get a new Taco for 24k and everyone knows it.
