Does your family have any family traditions you follow on Christmas Eve? What are they and what foods does it include?

Our family almost ignores Christmas, the way its usually done anyway. My wife and i treat it as a normal day though my wife goes to church on christmas eve. They have a carol service with candles and she plays keyboard. Apart from that, nothing. Same on Christmas day - just the two of us and the dog, no special food but this year it falls on Sunday so the wife will be at church in the morning. But the eldest son's birthday is the day after Boxing day so we have him and his family over and give presents and have a good dinner then.

We usually bake cookies in the morning then later that night watch the polar express and eat pizza.

We usually play the fart game where we take turns farting at each other's faces and whoever starts coughing first will lose and be out of the game.

I go with my GF to our towns open air carol service, no food but my GF takes cigarettes with her!

we go and see a pantomime, watch a Christmas film, usually eat sandwiches and go to bed early
