Is a defensive end more likely to be dominant in a 3-4 or 4-3 defense?
My high school football team ran a 4-3 defense last season and I was the starting JV defensive tackle and I got 15.5 sacks and 58 tackles. Our def. coordinater is switching to a 3-4 defense and he s given me the oppurtunity to start on varsity as a junior at defensive end. I know that all defensive lineman do in 3-4 is prevent the o-line from releasing to block the linebackers. So would I have as much as or even more of an impact with the 34 defense? And I doubt I can get a scholarship blocking o-lineman. BTW I curently have 5 D1 offers.

4-3
There are no DEs in a 3-4. There are two T and a NT. The two OLBs have the responsibility for contain that DEs have. Next time you see a 3-4, watch the weak side OLB. He's almost always in a two point stance near or on the the line of scrimmage. The two Ts in a 3-4 are the same size as Ts in a 4-3.
BTW, you're a fυcking liar. No real football player would ever aks these questions:
and, especially this
which means you couldn't have five DI offers since college recruiters can't offer scholarships until December of a player's junior year and, LOL! they certainly don't make offers to JV players.
LMAO!
Phony.

As a guy who is your exact height, and weighed 10 pounds more at the time (140) was actually fast (ran 4'8 40 yard dash) AND was stronger than you in 10th grade in HS (I benched 185 for 3 reps max, squatted 225 max for 3 reps, and deadlifted 265 max) here is the deal:
Even though I weighed more, was stronger, and was probably faster (at a 4'8 40), I still rode the bench the entire time. So here is the deal. Take my advice, because I am NOT wrong. My IQ is 147 and I make almost $200,000 running a company right now. So listen up:
1) Don't do football. You are too short and skinny. I was on it, and just got embarrassed. Even though I'm extremely athletic, you just plain old aren't big enough.
1B) I used to want to prove myself- every man does. Some girls will try to say its "napoleon syndrome" but thats a lie. Here's why. EVERY GUY, with rare exceptions, wants to prove himself and prove he is the best he can be. That isnt cause of our height, or an insecurity- it's MASCULINITY IN GENERAL.
However, my point is, we should use our intelligence to override that. You may want to be one of the big football guys- you simply are not. You would be better off pursuing something that fits your strengths.
2) The goal of life is to do the following: Acquire friends, family, get a lot of money, be happy, get laid, pass on your genes via offspring, build a family.
It all really comes down to this: survive, thrive, and replicate.
Football is not going to accomplish that for you. Football will waste your time, hurt your grades (and thus your future ability to make money), it will embarrass you socially and cause you to perhaps even lose friends or at best, youll gain friends but be a running joke because you ride the bench. You may get injured, which will hurt you physically and perhaps also reduce your ability to get laid (if you walk funny or whatever) or to work at your job even. All in all, avoid it.
3) To help you achieve everything in #2, you need to be intelligent enough to learn your strengths and weaknesses. Football is not a strength of yours. It never will be a strength.
What football will do is this: Lead to embarrassment. You'll be benched on varsity for sure, if not JV. If your team is not a losing/lame team, you'll be benched on JV too. I was 140lbs and 5'7, and I was literally the weakest kid on the entire team. Even the kids I saw and thought of as weak compared to others, I still was weaker than.
On the other hand, I was very good in wrestling, I always won a lot more matches than I lost.
If you try out for football, it wont result in you gaining friends, p*ussy, etc, itll result in you being a laughingstock. I was a pretty cool kid, but I can confidently say that me being in football detracted (took away) from my studies and education. It sidetracked me. It resulted in me being less popular than I otherwise would be, because of the fact I was on the bench during most all the time of games.
4) I recommend doing the following:
A) try out for wrestling- you can actually get pretty beast. You also wont risk a severe injury like concussion or broken bone (wrestling is dangerous but not as much as football), and you also will get really strong and ripped.
B) If you have any congenital hip issues, see a doc ASAP though. I didnt realize I had a FAI (femoral acetabular impingement) when I did wrestling, and it made it worse. I could feel it tho- but I ignored it, my parents were the "oh just be tough" type, but they were ignorant of medical science and now I have to have surgery at age 25. I'm going in and will have to be on crutches for 3-6 months, they are gonna shave the hip bone.
Moral of the story: Focus on treating injuries, do not exacerbate them (dont make them worse). Life is not just in high school, life goes on for about 70 years. You may think you wont enjoy f*cking girls and partying when you get older- but, you will. You age right along with people, and your body naturally stays attracted to people your own age. So you want to stay in good shape.
C) I recommend you focus on your CAREER. Dont focus on high school, either- thats bullcrap. You need to focus on what you want to do. Do you want to be an electrician? A business owner, like myself? Do you want to be an engineer? A doctor? A lawyer? A marine welder? There are blue-collar trades and also college jobs available. Especially with Donald Trump there will be A TON OF BLUE COLLAR OPPORTUNITIES, now that factories and corporations will be coming back to america due to tariffs. You want to figure out the right career path for you early, so you can start learning about it now. The more you learn about how to make money at the job you want to do, the better you will do. Yes, get good grades of course, but you wanna spend a little extra time especially on the weekends, learning about your future career. Also study psychology, sales, dating psychology (some call it PUA), science and history, those are important in life too.
D) I know it sounds obvious and stupid but... don't do drugs. I had gotten into weed recently, and it's not a good idea for your health or looks either. I had to take drastic measures to quit, which included telling my dealer if he called me again I'd have him thrown in jail, and that cost me a few friends. So make sure you dont ever start. They sound fun but they are not after a few weeks you get used to the drug, need more of it, and start to feel really sick, really slow, really stupid. It sounds funny to hear this and in high school I know you think its cool, and maybe the kids who do it are cool- but the drug ITSELF is not cool. And doing a bad drug will not make you cool like the cool kids you see walking around, itll only make you dumber, sicker, and weaker.
E) Again, don't bother with football. If you wanna get cool, learn PUA/psychology, get ripped at the gym, become a star at wrestling, dress cool, and stop giving a f*ck what people think. When you have confidence and dont try to appease people, people will love you for it. Dont be afraid to be funny, but dont act stupid either. Always try a little less than other people- talk less, react less, move more slowly, be less afraid, etc.
