so was count dooku being honest with obi wan kenobi when he told him darth sideous controlled the senate? literally what was happening?
in star wars attack of the clones. while obi was in captive. count dooku attempts to have him join him by literally telling him in detail what was going on. obi wan insanely refuses to believe all of it. only for everything count dooku said to become reality. this has always bothered me. he told him together they would destroy the sith. so many star wars fans pretend count dooku was dark and would never do good. but after revenge of the sith only 2 jedi were left. didnt obi wans naive attitude and refusal to consider count dookus warning cost the jedi and republic dramatically?

That confused me as well, but it may have been part of the plan to disrupt the Jedi.
I seem to remember is some episode, possibly in The Clone Wars, Yoda mentioning that the Sith are cleverly deceptive mixing truth with lies, so this may have been Dooku's attempt to confuse the situation. It is possible Dooku had plans of his own to overthrow and destroy the Sith, but he may have been deluded about his own place in the scheme since Palpatine was so easily willing to dispense with him.
