Did a great number of Americans not vote in the presidential election or was the percentage of Americans who did very high?

Neither candidate was popular so the winner of the election was all about voter turn out. Like Trump, allot of Hillary voters said that they would hold their nose and vote for her. Not a very Strong position. It looked like she should have won, but many who polled for her did not vote. Because of this, I gave her a 65% chance.

Those Hillary supporters who did not vote should not complain.

About 55% of eligible voters turned out in 2016, the same percent as turned out in 2012, but less than turned out in 2008 or 2004. It's about the same percent as turned out in 1992 when Bill Clinton won the election.

An Estimated 57.9 Percent of Eligible Voters Voted in 2016. Pretty apathetic if you ask me!

Apparently it was a bit higher than normal.

I think the people were a bit fed up with Democrats.
