You actually have to be a bona fide refugee - the burden of proof of which is pretty high. E.g., if you are in Syria right now, sure. But, if you are only an economic migrant - no. As you have access to the Internet, I would suggest that you may not be considered an actual refugee. If you are, the government might accept you, or there may be groups to help. But, these are normally for specific groups of refugees, e.g., Syrian ones.

If you are Christian and being persecuted because of your religion there are some religious groups that may help. If you are gay and being prosecuted due to being homosexual, there are some gay rights groups that might help
