As someone who goes to university and a SO in the same position (we've been together for 2 years, lived together for 6 months), I still spend Christmas with my family and he goes home to his. But New Year's Eve we always spend together. Is it the same with you?

I spend Christmas with my partner's family. They're only a 30 minute drive from our house.
I spend New Year's Eve with my partner.

I feel like Christmas Eve you spend with your partner and Christmas Day you spend with your family and on New Years Eve you spend it with your partner
