I'd like to start watching film noir. What are some good ones to start with besides big ones like The Maltese Falcon and Double Indemnity?

Remember, Film Noir doesn't just mean movies from the 40's and 50's, in fact, my favorite film of this diverse genre, is Joel and Ethan Coen's debut film from 1984, Blood Simple. They've had more successful and critically acclaimed films, but none have been better than Blood Simple. It's a masterpiece.
