I hear that Verizon bought Yahoo.?
I use Verizon and would like to choke them all quite often.
What is going to happen with Yahoo.
My mail and of course this forum, is this subject to "go away?"
I do not want to loose my old email.

Verizon plans to rename Yahoo "Altaba". There are millions, if not billions, of people who use Yahoo Mail. Verizon will allow everyone to keep their Yahoo Mail accounts but they will be merged with AOL. I fully expect them to allow the email addresses to remain the same but I would expect anyone signing up for a new account will have to choose a new domain. Probably @altaba.com
There has been no word about the future of Yahoo Answers. Verizon will need to review the cost to run this site vs the profit it makes from ads. We'll see. Yahoo has threatened to close down Yahoo Answers before but never did though they did open a new Help Community: https://forums.yahoo.net/
