Why does winter make it easier to get sick?

Idk why, but winter makes my Asthma a lot worse and also sometimes gives me a sore throat and clogs my system with mucous (either clear/white-ish or more yellowish).

And now I'm sick with a sore throat with coughing and mucus, lucky me I almost never need to actually see a doctor as I tough it out and don't stay sick for long (unless I get Bronchitis, but I still don't like to see a doctor)

There are various factors that come into play.

Some people with asthma simply react to the cold itself, and also humidity changes throughout the year may be worse for you at that particular time.

In addition, in winter time, cold and flu viruses tend to infect more people, mostly because people tend to spend more time indoors where they can more easily infect one another.

Germs breed more in the warm environments like stores and schools in the winter
