Recurring dream element, sliding/skiing movement. (Psychological Perspective).?

Update:

Always wondered about a recurring dream element that seems to pop up ALOT (like 90% of my dreams).

The Dreams themselves almost have no real connection; they've varied from shopping in a store, to going to class, to walking down a Ally.

But in 8/10 dreams I have, there will always be a strange recurring dream element.

instead of walking or running to a location, I'd "Slide" or "Ski" on most surfaces.

Update 2:

This is different from just "motionless movement" in some dreams, where you will suddenly approach a scene or location without moving.

To be more precise, the sensation is closer to sliding down a very steep hill, but the motion is over a flat surface instead of a incline.

The speed is always much faster than what I would be able to reach walking or running, however I am almost always in control, with no worry or fear. Like it is second nature.

Update 3:

Asphalt, gravel, tile, wood (though strangely never carpet), Mall, store, Hospital, the setting changes every time, but it still the same,

From a Psychological Perspective what might (if anything), this represent?

Update 4:

Sorry about the Weird updates, for some reason Its not letting me post the full text.

    Why a psycholgical perspective?

It's not symbolic. When people sleep. Their spirits often leave the body and travel the Astral plane. Since the Spirit is pure energy, it does not walk, it floats... kinda like a ghost maybe. But at any speed.

These dreams are actually out of body experiences that you are having. The fact that you can recall the sensation is special because its common to forget these "dreams" all together.

Please search for yourself on google and find articles and such to compare what's written to what you are dreaming. Keywords (you might wamy to include sleEP or dream in each search as well) :

    Astral projection

    Out of body experience

    Subtle energy body

    Astral plane

    Lucid dream obe

"Do I hAve out of body experiences when I'm sleeping?"
