Coyote hunting with wolves in the area?

Been coyote hunting in Northern Wisconsin recently. Had some areas marked from deer season where I know coyotes are/were from seeing them and just from hearing them howl and bark. Now that it's January I've been scouting the same areas and doing some calling. I've only gone out 4 days total but no luck. No howls back, let alone seeing a track in the fresh snow. Lots of wolf tracks in the same areas however. Am I wasting my time in these areas?
