Ford Escape rear end jumps up when shifting cold?

I have a 2009 Escape with the automatic 4wd. It's in 4wd when taking off, otherwise it's only on when it needs to be.

ONLY when the transmission is cold, it always revs higher in 2nd gear, holds it for a second, and when it shifts into 3rd gear the rear end jumps up and feels like it rolls forward.

I've checked the differential, driveshaft and ujoints.. The transmission is in good shape. All fluids are routinely changed. nobody seems to know what could be wrong.

Go to the dealer. There may be an open recall or a TSB for your problem Many times the dealer has a computer reflash "fix" for shifting problems
