Are Bible prophecies merely the work of clever humans? Or Do they bear the hallmark of divine inspiration? What's your thoughts on this one?

Abraham was the focus of some of the earliest prophecies recorded in the Bible—prophecies that even involve us today. (See the box “A Blessing for ‘All Nations.’”) According to the Bible book of Genesis, these predictions include the following: (1) Abraham’s offspring would become a mighty nation. (2) In the process of becoming such, they would be enslaved in a foreign land. (3) They would be delivered and would take possession of the land of Canaan.

I was just thinking about how humble those men were. They may have been clever in some respects, but not to have prophecy come true. Like John who wrote the book of Revelation, he had no idea what his dreams meant. Studying is helpful. Go to JW.Org.

Hi the Bible has many prophecies left to be fulfilled when Jesus returns. Many have to do with the nation of Israel. God promised to give the land to Abraham as an eternal possession. This was a one sided covenant between God and no condition was set on Abraham. When the law came God was punishing the Canaanites for their pagan ways and gave the land to Israel although they never took possession of the full boundaries. The law placed conditions on Israel that is they behaved the same way as the Canaanites God would make the land desolate but leave a remnant to inherit the promise made to Abraham. Dan and and Jesus both predicted the destruction of the second temple and Moses predicted the Jews to be scattered into all the nations. God affirmed this principal of the promise that the Jews would be scattered into all the nations again when Solomon dedicated the temple. The return of Israel into the land of Israel is very important to understand as there are literally hundreds of prophecies regarding the whole world and the 2nd coming of Jesus the tribulation and all that have this as the center piece.

One specific element is the return of the daily sacrifices not done since Jerusalem and the Temple were destroyed in 70 AD. Today Israel is back as a nation and the Temple Institute has prepared everything necessary to resume the daily sacrifices. This is important as the mid point of the tribulation is when the antichrist puts and end to the sacrifices that have started again. Is the Bible man manipulated? Dan 9 was written when there were no Jews in Israel. There was no temple and he predicted the arrival of the Messiah would come before the city Jerusalem was destroyed again. He prefaced his prediction with a starting point of when the order to go and rebuild Jerusalem and its walls would go out it would be 483 years till Messiah and he would be cut off and not for himself. Then he predicts the future saying this prince who will come will in the middle of the week of 7 years will put a end to the daily sacrifices that will have had to been resumed a 3rd time. Jesus called this too and warned to watch for the abomination of desolation which Daniel spoke about. You see the days we are in have Israel returned and have the very preparations for the event described as the mid point of the tribulation in place right now.

The return of the sacrifice is directly related to the 2nd coming of the Lord Jesus and Hosea 3 makes it clear in a bold predictions. 4 For the children of Israel shall abide many days without king or prince, without sacrifice or sacred pillar, without ephod or teraphim. 5 Afterward the children of Israel shall return and seek the LORD their God and David their king. They shall fear the LORD and His goodness in the latter days.

Israel has not had a king since Babylon 500 years BC and not had a sacrifice since 70AD I would say that is many days. The return of the sacrifice is coming that means the antichrist is near and after that the 2nd coming of Jesus. One last quote to prove this is all future and not happened in 70AD is found in Luke 1

67 Now his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Spirit, and prophesied, saying:

68 “Blessed is the Lord God of Israel,

For He has visited and redeemed His people,

69 And has raised up a horn of salvation for us

In the house of His servant David,

70 As He spoke by the mouth of His holy prophets,

Who have been since the world began,

71 That we should be saved from our enemies

And from the hand of all who hate us,

72 To perform the mercy promised to our fathers

And to remember His holy covenant,

73 The oath which He swore to our father Abraham:

74 To grant us that we,

Being delivered from the hand of our enemies,

    Might serve Him without fear,

75 In holiness and righteousness before Him all the days of our life.

You see Jesus is the promised king to sit on Davids throne. He is to deliver Israel from their enemies and fulfill the covenants made by God. Israel is to be delivered from their enemies and worship and serve God from that point on without fear all the days of their lives. This is accomplished at the 2nd coming. To see this play out read Zech 14 which is a detailed account of Jesus 2nd coming in the old testament. It is amazing. Gods word every detail is true.

Historians say that large numbers of Jews were never slaves in Egypt and they were never a mighty nation. They were frequently overrun by more powerful nations. Those prophecies are all false. The Bible is a book of lies.

Where gospels, scriptures, tenets, and verse, are allowed to contradict each other

without question or retraction, simply because they reside in the “holy bible” … there is nothing.

The only thing that the bible and its parable-driven prophecies can do

is attempt to portray, and pretend to know, what God "might" be ... 'Kinda s~cks, doesn't it.

Truly, `God` would never have authored or inspired such a weak,

meaningless, and inconsistent narrative for His children, and His creations, to live by or believe in.

The Word of God will never be as empty and unjustified as the vacant utterances of His biblical stand-in.

The 'god' of the bible, is nothing more than the god of the bible.

It portrays its strength by condoning death, administering pestilence, flood, and disease

and with this, it openly displays a total and immoral presence that no ‘god’ would ever want to own.

In its entirety, the Bible will always be as meaningless a human concoction as `Existence` itself will ever see.

For the 14 Billion Years that this Universe has existed, so has God,

and God alone has had it right, forever ... forever as far back, where religion continues to have had no meaning.

    clever fiction.

why is there no world peace and why has suffering and disease not ended in 1 coming?

No human is that clever to set up circumstances that have such degree of impossibility of happening if you were to use math and consider the probability of every single prophecy about the messiah being fulfilled in Christ. I don't know how can someone manage to orchestrate an event that takes over 4000 yrs to come to fruition in the birth of Christ. Just look at the world around you - governments can't even control their country these days.
